There's also the Manual of the Planes, which has the plane of the Feywild, home to the Gnomes. In D&D, at least in 4th Edition, Gnomes were enslaved by Formorians and not Trolls, but I think the basic gist of that mythology is similar. David, the new PHB2 (2nd Player’s Handbook for D&D) has Gnomes as a playable race.
