True to form, Marvel is continuing it’s dubious strategy of relentlessly expanding on any remotely well received idea it puts forth – this time by building on their “Astonishing” line of titles. Fortunately, Marvel recognizes that the line, with it’s austere origins, is a breed a part from the rest of their titles, and their bringing in some top talent. Amongst that group, celebrated bad-boy and creator of the Vertigo classic Transmetropolitan, Warren Ellis. Ellis will be writing a mini-series called Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis, with art by Kaare Andrews.
