Check It Out – Game of Thrones coming to HBO

This isn’t new news, per se, but if you haven’t heard, George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones novel is being turned into a tv series for HBO.

You can learn more about the tv series at IMDB

and at Wikipedia

Or at various websites that are devoted to it

Now I’ve never read any of Martin’s work, so I can’t speak for it, but with casting like Lena Headey, Jason Momoa and Sean Bean the tv series has piqued my interest.  And while I’ve never been (and never WILL be) a fan of Sopranos or Sex In The City, I think HBO makes some top-notch series (myself being a fan of much of their work ranging from Dream On and Tales from the Crypt to True Blood and Hung.

I know many people love George R. R. Martin, and I had heard it was an influence on the BioWare game, Dragon Age: Origins, so I’m looking forward to seeing what this series looks like.
