News Round-Up: Dragon Age 2 tid-bits

Dragon Age 2 has caused quite the stir in the gaming world.  Mostly excitement, some trepidation, but generally a lot of buzz.

Since Dragon Age: Origins was a great success for BioWare and EA it is no surprise that their greenlit and fast-tracked sequel is getting the limited-info but media-blitzing coverage, especially at the summer cons.

To read up on the latest, here are some points of interest to start at:

Obviously, it’s impossible to get a feel for the entire game based on the sliver I saw, but it definitely looks improved across the board, and the graphic updates are most welcome. I’m sure we’ll see more of this game in the coming months so we can bring you more information, but for now, I’m impressed.

Dragon Age has quickly become one of BioWare’s most popular title, the developer recently revealed that it’s even more popular than Mass Effect.

There are already voices who are saying that Mass Effect 2 is a poorer experience because it eliminated RPG elements like inventories and worry that Dragon Age, the more pure experience, might also be streamlined in order to make it appeal to a wider audience. But BioWare is promising that at least when it comes to dialog the characters will have more options than in Dragon Age: Origins.

Of course the best place to get info is from BioWare itself, and this is the forum to dig into – http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/141/index
