Midnight Crusade – Jugular, Part 3

James and Mary’s First Date (Short Version)

James and Mary lay on James’ car, watching the stars. Between them is a pizza box, half full. Mary looks at James.

“You know, a normal girl wouldn’t think too highly of a guy if this is what they did on their first date.”

“Are you saying you’re not normal?”

“You’re a funny guy.”

“I know. But to get back to your point, what did you expect? I’m a struggling musician.”

The Midnight Crusaders Try To Convince James Not To Go After Jugular

“You’re a struggling musician, not some sort of crime fighting hero.”, said Mortar.

“You don’t need to be a hero to fire a gun.”, said James.

“Call the police. Let them handle it.”, said Byte.

“The police would put him on death row. They would end up killing him. I…need to kill him.”, said James

“But why? What fills your heart with such anger?”, said the Blue Buddha.

“I was going to ask her to marry me.”, James said.
