In Genre is a collaborative effort by several talented voices writing about genre fiction. Whether its in the form of role-playing games or video games, television shows or feature films, novels or comic books - In Genre skirts the edges of the genre and picks out what we collectively feel is worthy, the media and mediums we want to share with the public.
Whether it’s sci-fi, fantasy, or horror - slasher films, super-heroes or space operas, odds are you’ll find one of the Contributors writing about it!

Wausau Comics was opened summer of 2007 to fill a gaping need in the Wausau area.

Jim Yoho decided that he was tired of driving out of town to get his comics and fufilled a long held desire of his - he opened his own comic shop, renting space upstairs from Graff Mercantile.
David Cohen helped man the store on Thursdays and Fridays for a time, as well as contributing regular articles to WausauComics.com.

Wausau Comics carried comic books, magazines, trades, manga, dvds and role-playing games, all with a focus on genre (horror, sci-fi, fantasy.)

The website lives on, however. A group of dedicated genre fans have banded together to provide regular content from topics ranging across entertainment including manga, Star Wars, independent comics and more!
With plans to increase content, the former Wausau Comics is now In Genre the genre entertainment site which will provide at least weekly articles about sci-fi, fantasy, horror, games and tv shows and movies, comics and manga and more!
